With CloudMounter, you don’t have to worry about cloud storage and web service security. The app encrypts your files before uploading, ensuring that your data remains protected even if your storage account is hacked.

Frequently Asked Questions
Storing files in Google Drive is convenient, but keeping sensitive data in the cloud comes with risks. CloudMounter adds an extra layer of security by encrypting your files before they are uploaded. This ensures that even if someone gains access to your cloud storage, your data remains private and protected.
Open the CloudMounter app, click the Google Drive icon, and follow the instructions in the wizard. That’s all it takes. If you have more than one account, you can add them all for easy access.
With CloudMounter, you can work with your cloud files just like they’re on your Mac. Just drag the file to a local folder, and it’ll be downloaded.

A Google Document in Google Drive is just a link to a document on docs.google.com, not a physical file. CloudMounter handles these documents as links, allowing you to transfer them between folders easily. Copying or moving files within the same Google account works properly, and the documents stay accessible. If you copy a file to your desktop, it will still open in your browser.

However, moving (not copying) it to another account breaks the link, making the document inaccessible and deleting it from both Google Drive and docs.google.com.
